I have developed some neuropathy in my face, what can I put on my skin to help with the dryness?
My skin is so dry. It has taken on an appearance of having incurred some type of constant abrasion. The new skin breaks up and starts to peel as soon as the old skin falls off. I haven't been able to wear make-up for many years bc of this though it only started to get really bad in just the last 6 months. My doctor says it must be some sort of allergy, but I am convinced it is a side affect of some type of malabsorption. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in July after being sick for many years and improperly diagnosed. I think I'm in the beginning stages of Trigeminal Neuropathy, which I've read can result from certain deficiencies. I get shooting pains in my face, one-sided facial swelling and electrical migraines, too. Nothing I put on it seems to help and I am almost afraid to even wash my face these days bc the skin just sloughs off when wet. It's like my face is dying right in front of me. What can help?
