Aloe Vera Gel for acne?

On the back of the bottle it say "aloe Vera gel cools and soothes minor skin irritations,abrasions, and sunburns. This blend of Aloe Vera Gel helps restore moisture to damaged skin and helps prevent drying and peeling. Great for softening and nourishing skin year round." Can i use this for my acne? If i can how would? like how often and all that? on the front it just says " Aloe Vera Gel, moisturizes and soothes dry, sun damaged skin" don't no if that helps or not but please help!
